Exercise Equipment Reviews, Find The Best For You.
It has become quite common for fitness conscious people to hit the gym but with the high
quality of a wide range of home gym equipment there may no longer be any need. The problem is which equipment is best for you? There are
many places you can find exercise equipment reviews in magazines, on the net and even on TV.
It is important to look at how comfortable the equipment is to use, how much warranty is offered, how hard wearing and surfaces are etc.
This article does not provide any exercise equipment reviews but I aim to help you make a more informed decision when looking at equipment by
listing some key features you should look for.
Elliptical trainers
These can vary drastically in features and price but the key features to look for are an elliptical with adjustable upper body movement,
adjustable pedals and a wide range of adjustment on the resistance. There are a wide selection of magazines containing exercise equipment reviews
and these can be very helpful when trying to decide on the type of elliptical that suits you best.
Multi Gym's
If you are looking to purchase a weight training machine or multi gym in your home. These type of machines can take up a large amount of space
so be aware of how big the gym you are interested in actually is. Take a tape measure and accurately measure the space you have so you can decide
on a gym that fits and leaves space around so you can use it. I have seen people buy multi gyms after measuring them only to find out that to use
the leg curl for example, takes up another three feet that they had not included in the original measurements!
Treadmills
These are great pieces of equipment but it does pay to make sure you get one that will service your needs. For instance if you are
particularly tall, say over six foot then you are going to want a longer treadmill than the average person. Try to get a treadmill with a motor
rated at 1.5 horsepower at the very least, preferably more.
Exercise bikes
The exercise bike comes in many different shapes, sizes and styles so it can often be hard to decide which one is right for you. The best way
to decide which one will work best for you and stay within your budget is to read some exercise equipment reviews in fitness magazines and the
like so you can work out which features you need and which ones you could do without. Some exercise bikes may be packed with features you will
never use but you may find them uncomfortable to sit on so try going to a local sports store and trying out a few of the bikes.
